First, I’d like someone to make your presentation about your learning skills. 【本讲课程的内容】 一、Reading steps. 1. Skimming: 1) Go through the whole passage to see how many paragraphs in it. 2) Read the first sentence in each paragraph to find out the main idea of the whole passage. 2. Reading comprehension Decide whether each of the statements below is true or false according to the text. 1) The best students are not necessarily those who work the hardest. T. 2) Intelligence is the key to getting good grades. F. 3) It is not necessary to study only in the library or at your desk. T. 4) Organizing materials helps you to study more efficiently. T. 5) Taking breaks while you study disturbs your concentration. F. 6) It is important to read every word of your assignment with care. F. 7) Asking questions is a sign of being a good students. 8) For group study to be effective, everyone should use the same approach. F. 3. Reading analysis The author of the article lists several ideas for getting good grades. Each suggestion is presented the same way, from “general advice” to “specific examples”. Now look at the following table. All the general advice has been listed in the table and you are required to fill in the specific examples to match the general advice. The first two have been done for you as examples.
