Note SLA,originally,refers to the study about second language acquisition.But now in China,SLA is also used to refer to the study about foreign language learning. There are,basically,two reasons

On one hand,SLA is started in the European and American countries and it has developed relatively mature theories. On the other hand,FLA,which has borrowed theories from SLA,is not mature. So,the study about FLA can be also called SLA
