that the contemporary enterprises succeed in the competitive market.The competitive market requires rapid product development.Close cooperation among thedesigners will accelerate the product development by shortening the development cycle, improvingthe product quality and reducing the investment.It has been emphasized in the methodology ofconcurrent engineering (CE).But sometimes those partners are distributed in the world, so there is aneed for an important technology contribution to collaborative engineering, and supportingdistributed designers for rapid product development.This paper focuses on a collaborative design system; Product Digit Collaborative Design System(PDCDS).The solution of PDCDS can make it more efficient and reliable to visit teledata as well aswe can get it from local database. It will be ease to get the newest design process information aided byPDCDS, and it will have higher efficiency by collaborative work. Comparing with other traditionalProduct Data Management (PDM)software system, PDCDS have some new characters such as group,dynamicness, synchronization or asynchronism working mode, and the history recorder is needed, andit also support Web service.Key words: network manufacturing, digital product development, collaborative product datamanagement,collaborativedesignsystemMechanical Parking System LogisticsCHENE-xiAbstract: As the number of motor vehicles increases rapidly in many populated countries theshortage of parking space has become a difficult problem to all cities around the world.Thecontradiction between the shortage of parking space and the increasing number of motor vehicles isstill growing in the recent years. The utilization of various kinds of mechanical parking facilities is aneffective solution to this problem.How to organizea reasonable logistics system in a mechanicalparking lot so that as many parking positions as possible can be constructed within a limited space atthe lowest cost is a long challenging subject for engineering designers. Obviously, it is of great valueto approach this subject theoretically and systematically.Based on the study of the development ofdifferent mechanical parking facilities the features definitions classifications and evaluation indexes of
