The paperintroduces several kinds of logistics information system and their functions in the logisticsmanagement, such as the warehouse management system(WMS) in the delivery center, the controlsystem for transportation and delivery, the supply chain management(SCM), the optimization of thelogistics system, etc. In the author s opinion, the development of logistics could been divided intofour phases. And the logistics information system has some special characteristics:automatizationnetwork, intelligence, and regeneration. The paper also introduces some information technologiesthat are concerned. The readers can find following technologies in this paper: database and networktechnology, bar code and scanning devices, electronic data interchange(SDI), global positioningsystem(GPI), these technologies develop very fast in recent years. Logistics Management Information System Abstract: The logistics information is the logistics management' s inevitable request. And the logistics information system has some special characteristics: automatization, network, intelligence, and regeneration. The paper also introduces some information technologies that are concerned. The readers can find following technologies in this paper: database and network technology, bar code and scanning devices, electronic data interchange(SDI)，global positioning system(GPI)，these technologies develop very fast in recent years.
