A presentation is form of communication with an audience.Theobjective of a presentation is to transmit information or opinions to anaudience in your own words, within alimited amount of time.There are two basic types of presentations according to theirpurpose: to inform, to persuade.With an informative presentation, you may be teaching youraudience about something, you may be talking about a death-defyingexperience, or you could be describing your business to your leads group.Whateveryour subjectis,your primary goal is todeliver a speech orpresentation that is descriptive. Your objective is not to sell anything orpersuade anyone. It is merely to teach or inform. Informativepresentations include talks, seminars,proposals, workshops, conferences,and meetings where the presenter or presenters share their expertise,andinformationisexchanged.With the persuasive presentation, your reason for speaking is topersuade your audience to agree with you. While this category may dealwith an idea, a theory, or a product, your objective is to make youraudience understand and agree with your point of view. Persuasivepresentations are often motivational. Whatever your motivation with thepersuasive presentation, it is of utmost importance that you areconvincing
