Vilppus Mastering Composition Rubens was a master in his ability to show volume and 3- dimensional space ona flat picture where the 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional elements work well together.On this page I have diagramed three basic ways of creating a sense of space. First,Rubens was able to create clear,individual volumes.He made the statement that you can draw anything using a box,a sphere,and a cone.
