1 Units Six & Seven: Stamps Collecting/My First Day at School Teaching objectives: ➢ To help students master the use of the infinitive preceded by wh- word, the bare infinitive, ‘It takes.to do sth.’, and ‘Would you mind doing.’; ➢ To make students acquaint with the language expressions in Dialogue and readings; ➢ To ask students apply what they have learned to practical use; ➢ To make students know the features of a narration and learn to write a narration; ➢ To help students talk about their hobby; ➢ To be able to sum up the main idea of Dialogue I, Reading I & II; ➢ To be able to retell Dialogue I & Reading I; Time Allocation and Teaching Procedure: About 5 sessions (10 class hours) are needed for these units. 1 st session 1. Duty Report: Ask two students to make a report on daily life. 2. Language Structures: -learn the grammatical points such as: the infinitive preceded by a wh- word, ‘It takes . to do sth.’, the bare infinitive used as the object complement, ‘Would you mind doing.’ -refer to notes 1, 2, 3 -do the practice 3. Study of Dialogue I: Pre-reading questions 1. What does it mean by ‘cycling is a part of life in China’? 2. Do you want to have a car if it’s possible? 3.
