Unit Four Struggling with Taking Dictation Teaching objectives To prompt students to make sentences with the modal auxiliaries, To acquaint the students with useful expressions in describing the experience of taking dictation To make students understand the sources of energy Tosupply students with opportunities to practice their basic language skills Time Allocation and Teaching Procedure: About 4 sessions(8class hours)are needed for this unit. 1st session Ask3students to do duty reports 2.Language Structures Do substitution practice according to the pattern of the examples by making full use of given cues. 3.Dialogue I Pre-readingq While-reading Ask students some content-related questions to check how well they understand the specific details in the dialogue. 1.What are A's problems in taking dictation? 2.How doesA feel whe king ictation?
