Research on RFID F09030235090309581金至卓 TOPIC:RFID and intelligent vehicle(not included in MIT online video) Reason to choose the topic I have been working on intelligent vehicle for several semesters and found it not only interesting but also useful.At the time being,vehicle is still the most widely used transportation in human life.Intelligent vehicle is a kind of concept in which vehicles are equipped with computers, sensors and other modern technology so that the vehicle can drive automatically or half automatically. RFID is a kind of raising tech since the late 20th.It provides people with a wireless and convenient solution in communication and data sharing.The application of RFID on intelligent vehicle will give birth to a new generation of vehicles whose position in transportation can't be simply neglected. If vehicles equipped with RFID will be used in supply chain, especially in transportation,what benefits will be brought?That's what I'm going to talk about in the following Application of RFID on intelligent vehicle and analysis

That’s what I’m going to talk about in the following Application of RFID on intelligent vehicle and analysis

Nowadays,RFID has already been applied on vehicles,and two specific examples can be found during my research. Firstly,RFID on keys.Keys to cars nowadays are usually made by metal.The driver plunge into the whole,spin,then the door can be open. However,mechanical keys have some weakness:easy to broken,difficult in aiming and so on.Some technicians have invented RFID-based key. The driver should hold a card with RFID-devices,and the antenna can be placed inside the car.As long as the drive approaches the vehicle,the door will open automatically. Secondly,RFID has been applied to smart parking system.Every car that enters a certain parking area should be equipped with RFID,and according to the information beard on it,the parking area could handle almost everything by itself.The area will know how many parking lots are still empty and record all the entering and leaving information. Parking cost can be calculated and paid automatically. Future application of RFID on intelligent vehicle from my point of view During my research on the application of REID,I think more combinations between RFID and intelligent vehicle are really possible. Cyber transportation will be possible.Imagine that in the future, every car will have a special RFID,including its car information and drivers'information.And antennas can be placed under the road of

First of all,data of when and where a car runs will provide police with convenience to chase a vehicle.For example,if a driver knocks down a pass-by and runs away,it is very difficult to chase the driver even with the help of camera.With the help of RFID,it is quite easy to find out the car and the driver through the database.Thus,the chance that a driver will run away without doing first aid and take the responsibility will be minimized. What's more,for the time being,the time gap between traffic lights at a certain crossroad is fixed.It is obviously not a good idea in dealing with traffic jam.When RFID can be applied,how many cars are passing by and how many vehicles are now heading to a crossroad can be easily calculated,then,according to the data,a method can be taken in to switch traffic lights at the optimized rate. And,by doing research on the data in an area,many conclusion can be drawn.For instance,whether this road should be widen or not? Whether a policeman should be sent at a certain time to a crossroad or not? With the development of modern traffic,many tunnels,high elevators have been built so as to meet the demand of rising traffic. However,more roads do not lead to less traffic jam.The management of public traffic is the key problem.For traffic system nowadays,it is a open
