OBJECTIVES O To improve students' professional English language proficiency through exercises in comprehens ion and text appreciation and promote students' abilities in reading and translating the professional English data O To enlarge students' vocabulary by about 1000 words O To consolidate students' knowledge in the usage of professional words idiomatic expressions, sentence structures, collocations and other grammar items, and help students use them correctly and appropriately in translating. To help students work independently by emphasizing pre-class work and the use of English-English dictionaries B. ORGANIZATION O The course will require three hours each reading material.
