Film review on 蒋一诺515111910205 Margaret Thatcher was a British stateswoman and politician who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990 and the Leader of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990.A Soviet journalist dubbed her the"Iron Lady",a nickname that became associated with her uncompromising politics and leadership style. Instead of the comparatively new version of film released in 2012.which was centered in Mrs.Thatcher's twilight years,I choose to watch the former one:.Because it represented how difficult it was for Miss.Margaret to become respectable Mrs.Thatcher. In general, this wonderful movie showed the long and zigzag walk of Mrs.Thatcher's politics career. We all know that at the 20th century, women were not seen equal to men. They were believed to be weak, inferior and worthless in the outside world. They are supposed to stay at home all day long mopping the floor, cooking dishes and taking care of children. It was widely accepted at that time, even a lady raised a closely question to Mrs.Thatcher on the election:"How will you balance your family life and your busy work as an assemblywoman?"The conclusion was founded that Mrs.Thatcher was not suitable for the job because being a councilor was too busy to attend her children. Therefore,we can tell that women at that time could not do whatever they want. Their liberty was confined to acquiescent obligation.Women mustn't have their own dreams until Margaret Thatcher appeared. When she could eat on her face, she just depended on rich talents.Mrs.Thatcher was a real beauty.Steadfast expression coming out of her eyes could assure us of her firm will.I hold the belief that politics weighs more than family life in Mrs.Thatcher's heart. An impressive scene in the movie can be the powerful evidence:When Margaret Thatcher just gave birth to her pigeon pair kids, her husband Danis Thatcher asked her if she was happy at the moment,Mrs.Thatcher replied:"Yes,the kids save me trouble. Now I can be absorbed in my work without giving birth again."Mr.Thatcher as well as I was shocked at what she said since she took giving birth as a responsibility rather than a kind of happiness in a woman's life. Speaking of Mrs.Thatcher's FAMOUS personality,"Iron Lady"had come into her own symbol. Many of her resolutions can be seen in this film, such as"I never try to hide my ambition."I'm going to win a position that can finally win at any cost."I caught several scenes in the movie when Mrs.Thatcher went canvassing among ladies-she articulated her words, and they are extremely elegant and valuable-"We should look upon politics from our own level of commons......It is us women who are in charge of family expenses......' She was undoubtedly rigor and serious in many ways, but I think I have found something special on her personality.I surprisingly found that Mrs.Thatcher was also a soft-hearted woman. She loved to sit in front of her mirror and she had a tiny habit that she would like to post some pictures on it.On that small mirror were her dad and her husband's photo, which showed her delicate mind to the full.Besides, after she failed in the first election, what was posted additionally was the photo of Mr.Heath, her opponent. Therefore, except her strong and firm appearance, she also had a delicate heart. And the last thing I want to focus on is the gender discrimination at the 20th century. We can normally say that before Mrs.Thatcher, the discrimination was taken for granted, even people at that time didn't think it is a problem. What impressed me most is one tea party among ladies include Mrs.Thatcher.When an elder lady compliment Mrs.Thatcher,Mr.Heath walked in.Seeing him,the elder lady immediately modified her previous remark, adding"among women ever"to "you are the best speaker..."It is thus clear that men are highly superior to women at those feudal time. From where I am stand,Mrs.Thatcher had lived up to her reputation. She's one of the most important founder of our civilized society nowadays
